We host a variety of activities, to promote health and wellbeing. Please do get in touch if you are interested in participating or providing something we don’t currently offer.

Art Group

Wednesdays at 2 – 4pm

The club runs throughout the year. The group works with a wide variety of materials and members have a great time while developing new creative skills. No matter what level you’re at, or what experience you’ve had, you’re welcome to come along (no need to book) and unleash your creativity in a happy and supportive atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop, and have some fun along the way!

Cost: Weekly subscription payable when you attend.

Knitting and Crochet

Monday mornings at 9:30 – 11:30am

Come and join us. We are a friendly group that also likes to natter.

All levels welcome from experienced to beginners. We are here to help you.
Contact Carole Maloney on 01179 831329 or 07979 595127

It’s a great place to practice and share your skills in this craft, always with experienced knitters on hand to help you out with any difficulties or provide inspiration when you’re stuck. Anyone can join, no matter what previous experience you have. This is also a great social atmosphere – great for getting out of the house and meeting people at the same time as being creative.

No need to book a place or register – just pop along and give it a go (bring your own materials.)

Cost: £2 per session including refreshments.

The 4th Tuesday of each month, from 7:00 – 9:00PM

This group of family historians meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month, at Avonmouth Community Centre from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

We have a speaker most meetings, covering many aspects of family history. Other topics which overlap with family history, such as local history are also included in our programme.

The range of our members experiences is from beginners to those with a much wider knowledge. We try to help all members with their research, especially breaking through “brick walls” we all come across at some time.
